Fiberglass installs faster, has a smooth gelcoat, and is easy to maintain. Gunite is fully custom and can be any shape/size but takes longer to build.
Are there size or shape limitations?
Yes—shells are delivered as one piece, so transport and access determine maximum size and shape options. We’ll review access and crane needs during design.
How durable is the gelcoat finish?
Modern gelcoats are highly durable and non-porous. Proper water chemistry preserves color and sheen over time.
Can I add a spa or tanning ledge?
Many shells include benches and ledges. We can also add a separate spa and coordinate decks, drainage, and automation.
Do you handle permits and inspections?
Yes—we submit plans and manage inspections with the City of Austin and nearby jurisdictions, including barrier, drainage, and HOA requirements.
What site prep is required?
We handle excavation, base prep, setting the shell, plumbing/electrical, backfill, and deck integration. Access, utilities, and trees are reviewed up front.
