Most jobs go in faster than gunite, and the smooth gel coat surface fights algae and stays easy to clean for years.
Fiberglass is not the right pick for every yard. Steep, rocky Hill Country lots in spots like West Lake Hills or Barton Creek often block crane access and limit your options. Custom shapes, vanishing edges, and odd footprints are also off the table, since the shell comes from a fixed factory mold.
