Instead, we design your pool in full 3D and hand your local builder plans they can build from. Modern Pools has designed custom pools since 1999. We are based in Austin, Texas, and we do not have a crew in the Caribbean. What we do is design your pool in full 3D, then hand your local builder plans they can build from. This lets you get a high-end design for your island home while keeping the actual work with a trusted local crew.
The Caribbean covers many islands, from beachfront resorts to private hillside villas. Each site is different, and the design has to fit the land and the view. We plan for that from the start.
Designed for the sea and the sun
Life near the water is warm and open. Many Caribbean homes blend inside and outside space, so the pool becomes part of daily living. We design decks, shade, and outdoor kitchens that flow right out from the house. See our outdoor living design to plan the full space around the water.
We also plan for the hard parts of island life. Strong salt air, heavy sun, and hurricane season all shape the design. We spec materials and details meant to last near the sea, and your local builder builds from those plans.
Views that reach the water
Many Caribbean lots sit on a hill or right on the beach, with the sea in full view. An infinity edge pool can make the water look like it runs straight into the ocean. It is one of the best ways to use a sea view, and we design the edge and the catch basin so it works and lasts.
When the land rolls or the lot has an odd shape, a freeform pool can follow the site instead of fighting it. We shape the pool to the land, the trees, and the best angle on the water.
