Modern Pools has designed custom pools since 1999. We work from Austin, Texas, and we design pools for homes across Australia. We do not have a crew or an office there. Instead, we design your pool in full 3D and give your local builder the plans. Your local crew does the building. For special projects, our team can travel to the site to help plan and guide the work.

In the design, we pick finishes and materials that hold up to sun and salt, and your local builder sources them to match. The goal is a pool that looks great for years, not just on day one.

Some of the best home sites in Australia sit on steep harbor and hillside lots. These views deserve a pool that makes the most of them. An infinity pool can make the water look like it runs right into the sea or the harbor. On tight or sloped sites, a plunge pool can fit where a full pool cannot. We shape each design around your slope and your view.

Inland yards and open living

Not every Australia home is on the coast. Inland areas can be hot and dry, and yards are often big and open. Here a freeform pool can feel natural and relaxed, or a clean geometric pool can match a modern home. Australia has a strong indoor-outdoor lifestyle, so we design the whole space to flow.

More than the pool

A great backyard is more than water. We design water features like spillways, sheer descents, and fire and water into the plan.
